An
annual award under the trusteeship of the General Managers of the HBHL
to "the Hanson Brother's Hockey League player who best exemplifies the
qualities of perseverance, sportsmanship and dedication to hockey." Winner selected by a poll among the General Managers of the HBHL at the end of the regular season.
History
The trophy was presented by the HBHL General Managers in 1997 to
commemorate the late William Masterton who exhibited to a high degree
the qualities of perseverance, sportsmanship and dedication to hockey,
and who died January 15, 1968.
