An annual award "to the player who leads the league in assists at the end
of the regular season."
History
The HBHL Board of Directors presented the trophy to the Hanson
Brother's Hockey League in 1999, in honor of the greatest hockey player
the world has ever seen, Wayne Gretzky. "The Great One" is the all time
NHL assist leader with more assists than any other player's points. If
two players finish the schedule with the same number of goals, the
trophy is awarded in the following manner: 1. Player with the fewer
games played. 2. Player recording the first assist of the season.
