Maurice Richard Trophy

Maurice Richard TrophyAn annual award "to the player who leads the league in goals at the end of the regular season."

History
The Montreal Canadiens presented the trophy to the Hanson Brother's Hockey League in 1999, in honor of the legendary Maurice "The Rocket" Richard, the first player ever to record 50 goals in one season. If two players finish the schedule with the same number of goals, the trophy is awarded in the following manner: 1. Player with the fewer games played. 2. Player with fewer Power Play goals. 3. Player scoring first goal of the season.
